The regular week at The Piano Room. Theme nights and special events go up on Facebook first, so check there for this week's twist.

  1. Monday Live jazzThe Waldo Jazz Collective plays, and musicians are welcome to sit in. Bring your horn. 7 to 10 PM
  2. Tuesday KaraokeOften a theme night. Sign-ups open before the first song. from 8 PM
  3. Wednesday Open micMusic, poetry, comedy. The keyboard is set up and ready. 8 to 11 PM
  4. Thursday Trivia, then karaokeFree to play, teams of up to six. Karaoke starts as soon as trivia ends. 7:30 PM
  5. Friday Singin' & Slingin'Live music, and the bartenders sing between pours. Hop on the mic or just enjoy the show. from 8 PM
  6. Saturday KaraokePick the song you've been waiting all week to sing. from 8 PM
  7. Sunday Open 11 to 11Chiefs games on the TV on game days. 11 AM to 11 PM

The Piano Room is a neighborhood bar built around a piano and a microphone. Most nights somebody is playing, and most nights somebody from the crowd ends up singing. On Singin' & Slingin' nights the people pouring your drink take a turn too.

For years the room lived near 84th and Wornall. In August 2025 it reopened here on 75th Street in Waldo, under the red letters above the awning, with the jazz, the open mic and the regulars back where they belong.
